The Powerstation is a music venue in Eden Terrace, Auckland, and one of the few small live rooms of its kind left in New Zealand. The building has housed music venues in various forms since the 1950s. The Dandy Warhols formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994 around the singer-guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor and the guitarist Peter Holmström, joined by the keyboardist Zia McCabe and the drummer Eric Hedford, whose place went in 1998 to Taylor-Taylor's cousin Brent DeBoer.
