Hobart's 1916 heritage theatre, revived as the city's main live room and a hub of the Dark Mofo festival. The Dandy Warhols formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994 around the singer-guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor and the guitarist Peter Holmström, joined by the keyboardist Zia McCabe and the drummer Eric Hedford, whose place went in 1998 to Taylor-Taylor's cousin Brent DeBoer.
