A heritage-listed entertainment venue in Torrensville, in Adelaide's inner west, affectionately known as the Thebby. Built in 1926 as the Thebarton Town Hall and picture theatre and opened in 1928, it holds 2,000 with customisable seating, from full seating to a cleared dance floor or in-the-round. It's a favourite stop for both big international names and emerging artists. The Dandy Warhols formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994 around the singer-guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor and the guitarist Peter Holmström, joined by the keyboardist Zia McCabe and the drummer Eric Hedford, whose place went in 1998 to Taylor-Taylor's cousin Brent DeBoer.
