The Dandy Warhols formed in Portland, Oregon in 1994 around the singer-guitarist Courtney Taylor-Taylor and the guitarist Peter Holmström, joined by the keyboardist Zia McCabe and the drummer Eric Hedford, whose place went in 1998 to Taylor-Taylor's cousin Brent DeBoer. The name plays on Andy Warhol's. They were signed to Capitol Records for their major-label debut, ...The Dandy Warhols Come Down, in 1997, and reached a wider audience in 2001 when "Bohemian Like You" was used in a Vodafone advertisement. In 2004 they shared the documentary Dig! with The Brian Jonestown Massacre. They have released twelve studio albums.
