Tame Impala is the psychedelic music project of the Australian singer and multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, who writes, records, performs and produces the music in the recording studio and takes it on the road with a full live band. It grew out of Perth, Western Australia, in 2007. Currents, released in July 2015, reached the widest audience of any of his records, and its single “The Less I Know the Better” was voted number one in Triple J's Hottest 100 of the Decade in March 2020 — the project's highest ranking in that countdown.
