The room
Van Andel Arena is a multi-purpose arena in the Heartside district of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, at 130 West Fulton Street. It opened on 8 October 1996 after a $78 million build and is named in recognition of its largest benefactors, Jay and Betty Van Andel. It is the largest arena in West Michigan and the fourth-largest in the state: for concerts it seats 12,858 for an end-stage show and up to 13,184 in the round, on a floor measuring 85 by 220 feet, and for Grand Rapids Griffins ice hockey it holds 10,834. The Griffins, of the American Hockey League, gave the building the fans' nickname "The Freezer on Fulton"; they share it with the Grand Rapids Gold of the NBA G League and the Grand Rapids Rise of Major League Volleyball. The arena calls itself a 12,000-plus-capacity room and is run by Legends Global. Our nineteen listings between 3 October and 15 December 2026 include The Red Clay Strays, Bring Me The Horizon, Anthony Hamilton, Zach Top, Gabriel Iglesias, Pentatonix, Triumph, Amy Grant, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, for KING & COUNTRY and the Jonas Brothers.
