A music venue at 420 Mason Street in the Tenderloin, opened in 2017 in the room that spent the previous twenty-seven years as the nightclub Ruby Skye. Tank and the Bangas formed in 2011 in New Orleans, out of an open mic called Liberation Lounge at the now-closed Blackstar Cafe and Books in Algiers.
