A music venue in Englewood, Colorado, built in the 1920s as a movie theater and revitalised in 1998. Since reopening it has hosted a steady run of live events, from local concerts to film showcases and private functions, making it a fixture of the metro Denver gig circuit. Tank and the Bangas formed in 2011 in New Orleans, out of an open mic called Liberation Lounge at the now-closed Blackstar Cafe and Books in Algiers.
