A theatre in Downtown Los Angeles that opened in 1926, ran as a playhouse and briefly as a movie theatre, and closed in 1950. After decades of other uses the building was renovated and reopened as a music venue called The Belasco in 2011; Live Nation has operated it since 2020. Public Image Ltd is John Lydon's post-Sex Pistols vehicle, whose dub-scarred Metal Box invented post-punk's future in 1979.
