The Commodore Ballroom is a music venue and dance hall on Granville Street in Vancouver, built in the late Art Deco style. It is widely regarded as Canada's most influential nightclub and one of the best live rooms in North America, known for its sprung dance floor. Fruit Bats is the long-running folk-rock project of Eric D. Johnson, whose warm, melodic albums have been a Sub Pop and Merge staple since 2001.
