Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is a hotel and casino about three miles east of downtown Reno, Nevada, previously operated as the MGM Grand Reno, Bally's Reno and Reno Hilton. Alongside its 1,990 rooms and 80,000-square-foot casino floor, the resort stages touring concerts and live entertainment. Dweezil Zappa is an American rock guitarist and the son of Frank Zappa, and he was around the music industry from the start: he learned directly from guitarists including Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen, and released his first single — produced by Van Halen — at the age of 12.
