A 73,000-square-foot performing arts venue in Clearwater, Florida, in the Tampa Bay area, part of the Richard B. Baumgardner Center for the Performing Arts. Named after Ruth Eckerd, wife of businessman Jack Eckerd, its 2,180-seat auditorium uses continental seating with no center aisle. A regular home for the Florida Orchestra, it also draws touring concerts. Blue October formed in Houston, Texas in 1995 and now consists of singer-guitarist Justin Furstenfeld, his brother Jeremy on drums, multi-instrumentalist Ryan Delahoussaye, bassist Matt Noveskey and lead guitarist Will Knaak.
