Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey

Tom Bailey came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist of the new wave band Thompson Twins, whose "Love On Your Side", "We Are Detective", "Hold Me Now", "Doctor! Doctor!" and "You Take Me Up" all entered the UK top ten. He was the only member of the band with formal musical training. From 1994 he was part of its later incarnation, Babble, and he has since worked across dub as International Observer, Indo-fusion with the Holiwater Project, and audio-visual work with astronomer José Francisco Salgado as the Bailey-Salgado Project. His debut solo album, Science Fiction, appeared in 2018; he also scores for film.
