Bath Forum, known locally as The Forum, is a 1,640-capacity Art Deco venue on St James's Parade in central Bath. It opened in 1934 as the last Super Cinema of its kind to be built, designed by the architect A. S. Gray, and is listed Grade II*. The Bath Christian Trust bought the building in 1988; its Life Church Bath congregation meets there every Sunday, and the rest of the week it stages concerts and touring shows. Tom Bailey came to prominence in the early 1980s as the lead vocalist of the new wave band Thompson Twins, whose "Love On Your Side", "We Are Detective", "Hold Me Now", "Doctor!
