Man/Woman/Chainsaw started with Billy Ward and Vera Leppänen making music together at fourteen, at school, and settled into its six-piece shape in 2023 — two guitars, piano, bass, drums and Clio Starwood on violin, which is the part that gives the London band its edge. The debut EP Eazy Peazy came out on Fat Possum in 2024, produced by Daniel Fox of Gilla Band. Cannonball, the first album, followed in 2026, and NME called it one of the most accomplished debuts of the year.
