Icon for Hire are an American rock band from Decatur, Illinois, formed in 2007 and now reduced to the core of singer Ariel Bloomer and lead guitarist Shawn Jump. Two independent EPs led to a deal with Tooth & Nail Records, which released Scripted in 2011 and the self-titled Icon for Hire in October 2013. They have self-released everything since: You Can't Kill Us in November 2016, Amorphous in February 2021 and The Reckoning in September 2022 — five albums in, the last three made outside the label system.
