A two-floor venue on Bloor Street West in Toronto's Annex, adapted in September 1985 into the concert hall and nightclub it is now. The ground-floor room holds just over 500; upstairs is The Dance Cave, which draws students from the nearby universities at weekends with alt-rock and older regulars midweek with goth, mod, punk and indie nights. Icon for Hire are an American rock band from Decatur, Illinois, formed in 2007 and now reduced to the core of singer Ariel Bloomer and lead guitarist Shawn Jump.
