Haute and Freddy are an American alternative pop duo based in Los Angeles: vocalist Michelle Buzz, originally from Houston, and percussionist Lance Shipp, originally from Detroit. The two moved to the city to work as pop songwriters — Shipp co-wrote and produced for Rauw Alejandro, Britney Spears and Calvin Harris; Buzz wrote Katy Perry's "Never Really Over" and Kylie Minogue's "Magic" — and started the project on weekends, burnt out on that work. They debuted in late 2024 with "Scantily Clad" and "Anti-Superstar", toured North America through 2025 and played Electric Forest, Austin City Limits and Portola. They signed to Atlantic Records in January 2026; the debut album Big Disgrace was announced for 13 March.
