A movie palace in San Francisco's Castro District, built in 1922 to a design by Timothy L. Pflueger, who also drew Oakland's Paramount Theater. Its architecture mixes Beaux-Arts and Spanish Baroque, and the Art Deco marquee that has become the street's landmark was added in 1937. Haute and Freddy are an American alternative pop duo based in Los Angeles: vocalist Michelle Buzz, originally from Houston, and percussionist Lance Shipp, originally from Detroit.
