A 1938 art-house cinema turned East Vancouver cultural hub — 409 seats, a balcony, and a community that has repeatedly fought (and won) public battles to save it. Films by night, gigs and multidisciplinary art whenever the screen goes dark. Haute and Freddy are an American alternative pop duo based in Los Angeles: vocalist Michelle Buzz, originally from Houston, and percussionist Lance Shipp, originally from Detroit.
