Trans-Siberian Orchestra is an American neoclassical metal band founded in 1996 by the producer, composer and lyricist Paul O'Neill, who assembled a creative core around Jon Oliva and Al Pitrelli, both of Savatage, and the keyboardist and co-producer Robert Kinkel.
