An Eden Terrace stalwart whose building has housed Auckland music rooms since the 1950s — one of the few small venues New Zealand has left, and one of its best. Saint Etienne are a London indie-dance trio — Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs — formed in 1990, whose blend of 60s pop and club culture on albums like Foxbase Alpha helped invent British indie-dance.
