The Basement East is a live-music venue in the East Nashville neighbourhood of Nashville, Tennessee, the larger sibling of the original Basement club and nicknamed 'The Beast'. Destroyed by the tornado that struck Nashville in March 2020, it was rebuilt on its Woodland Street site and continues to showcase touring and local acts. Nation of Language is an American synth-pop band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2016, led by vocalist Ian Devaney with Aidan Noell on synthesizers.
