The Louisville Palace is a 2,800-capacity historic theatre on South Fourth Street in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, opened in 1928 to an atmospheric design by architect John Eberson and operated today by Live Nation as a concert and events venue. Steven Patrick Morrissey, born on 22 May 1959 to working-class Irish immigrants in Old Trafford and raised in Stretford, came to prominence as the frontman and lyricist of the Smiths, whom he formed with Johnny Marr in 1982 and who lasted until 1987.
