The Birchmere is a concert hall on Mount Vernon Avenue in Alexandria, Virginia, billed as 'America's Legendary Music Hall.' Opened as a restaurant in 1966 and presenting live music since 1975, its intimate main room seats about 500 at tables for rock, blues, bluegrass, country, folk and jazz. Herman's Hermits are the Manchester British Invasion band whose cheery 60s hits I'm into Something Good and Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter sold millions in America.
