A music venue on Euclid Avenue in the Little Five Points area of Atlanta, programming rock, indie, electronic, funk, country, folk, bluegrass, jazz, blues and world music. The building went up in 1940 as the Euclid Theatre, one of three cinemas built in Atlanta that year by Lucas and Jenkins Theatres, and opened on 4 October 1940 with My Favorite Wife. It closed as a cinema in 1962 and stood unused for two decades before the Little Five Points Partnership bought it in the early 1980s. Fruit Bats is the long-running folk-rock project of Eric D. Johnson, whose warm, melodic albums have been a Sub Pop and Merge staple since 2001.
