Bush Hall is an independent, grassroots music venue in Shepherd's Bush, West London. Built in 1904 as an Edwardian dance hall — and used over the years as a soup kitchen, bingo hall and social club — it was restored as a music venue in 2001. The intimate ~400-capacity room has hosted some of the biggest names in music. Focus are the Dutch prog-rock band of Thijs van Leer, whose yodelling 1971 instrumental Hocus Pocus remains one of rock's most gloriously strange hits.
