A 1913 working men's club in Hyde Park, Leeds, reborn as one of Britain's best-loved independent venues. Still a social enterprise with its community-club soul intact, its two 400-cap rooms host everyone from cult heroes to arena acts playing secret shows. Donny Benét is the persona of Sydney musician Benjamin Waples, who played double bass in jazz bands and synths and accordion in Italian bands around the city before stepping out alone.
