The Majestic Theatre is a 600-capacity live-music venue in downtown Madison, Wisconsin, and the city's oldest theatre. Opened in 1906 as a vaudeville house and later a cinema, it was restored in 2007 and now runs club shows and DJ nights several nights a week. Donny Benét is the persona of Sydney musician Benjamin Waples, who played double bass in jazz bands and synths and accordion in Italian bands around the city before stepping out alone.
