A theatre in Downtown Los Angeles that opened in 1926, ran as a playhouse and briefly as a movie theatre, and closed in 1950. After decades of other uses the building was renovated and reopened as a music venue called The Belasco in 2011; Live Nation has operated it since 2020. Death From Above 1979 is a Canadian dance-punk duo from Toronto, formed in 2001 by drummer-vocalist Sebastien Grainger and bassist Jesse F. Keeler.
