The Ritz is a concert venue at 2820 Industrial Drive in Midtown Raleigh, in a building put up in the 1960s that has been through several lives, including a spell as a seafood restaurant called the Flying Cloud. Live Nation rebuilt it and reopened the room on 13 February 2015. The Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, Dave Matthews Band, the Ramones, Foo Fighters and the White Stripes all played the older venue; the stage has held Lizzo, Slayer, Tyler Childers, Snoop Dogg and Zach Bryan since. Dax, born Daniel Nwosu Jr. in St. John's, Newfoundland, in 1994 to Nigerian immigrant parents, is a Canadian rapper whose style crosses hip-hop, R&B, country rap and comedy rap.
