House of Blues Chicago is a live-music hall and restaurant set in the landmark Marina City towers on North Dearborn Street in downtown Chicago, opened in 1996. With a capacity of about 1,400, it is one of the busier rooms in the Live Nation–operated House of Blues chain, staging rock, blues and hip-hop acts most nights. Dax, born Daniel Nwosu Jr. in St. John's, Newfoundland, in 1994 to Nigerian immigrant parents, is a Canadian rapper whose style crosses hip-hop, R&B, country rap and comedy rap.
