Wet Leg are an English indie-rock band from the Isle of Wight, founded in 2019 by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, who met at music college. Their deadpan, post-punk-tinged debut single "Chaise Longue" became a viral sensation, and their self-titled first album entered the UK chart at number one in 2022. At the 2023 Grammy Awards they won Best Alternative Music Album and Best Alternative Music Performance, adding Best New Artist and Best British Group at that year's Brit Awards. The line-up expanded to five for 2025's Moisturizer, which also topped the UK chart. Wet Leg's rise was built on the live circuit, and their scrappy, high-spirited festival and club shows have kept them among Britain's most sought-after new bands.
