An outdoor events pavilion set in Manchester's Castlefield conservation area, reinvigorated in 1993 to designs led by DEGW Architects, with a striking semi-cantilever tensile roof by Rudi Enos that folds lighting and sound into its framework. It opened with Ian Brown headlining New Year's Eve 1999 and has since hosted New Order, Bloc Party, Noel Gallagher and The Courteeners alongside food festivals. Wet Leg are an English indie-rock band from the Isle of Wight, founded in 2019 by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, who met at music college.
