Michigander is an American rock band created in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2014 — really the solo project of Jason Singer, its vocalist, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist frontman, joined by touring musicians Jake LeMond on guitar, Aaron Senor on drums and Connor Robertson on bass. The first release was the self-released single “Nineties” in 2016, with “Mexico” and “ATL” following, plus an Audiotree live session extended play and the 2018 extended play Midland, all six of its tracks written by Singer alone. Three more extended plays came through C3 Records, most recently It Will Never Be The Same in 2023, recorded at Sunset Sound in Hollywood.
