About
Jon Anderson gave up manual labour in Accrington in the early 1960s to sing in The Warriors with his brother, and by 1968 had co-founded Yes with Chris Squire. His high tenor is the sound of The Yes Album, Fragile and Close to the Edge, and he was a member across three separate tenures before leaving in 2008. The solo work started with Olias of Sunhillow in 1976 and the collaborations have not stopped: Jon and Vangelis, the Anderson Ponty Band, and more recently two albums with The Band Geeks, whom he still tours with.
