About
Ezra Collective are a British jazz quintet — Femi Koleoso on drums and leading, TJ Koleoso on bass, Joe Armon-Jones on keyboards, Ife Ogunjobi on trumpet and James Mollison on tenor saxophone — who met at the jazz youth programme Tomorrow's Warriors and formed soon afterwards. Afrobeat, calypso, reggae, hip-hop and soul all feed the sound, and they collaborate often with fellow musicians such as Nubya Garcia and Moses Boyd. They won the Mercury Music Prize in 2023; Barack Obama chose "God Gave Me Feet for Dancing" for his list of 25 favourite songs of 2024; and at the Brit Awards 2025 they became the first jazz band to win Group of the Year.
