Vic Theatre

The Vic Theatre is a five-storey former vaudeville house at 3145 N Sheffield Avenue in Chicago's Lakeview neighbourhood, near the Belmont Red, Brown and Purple Line stop. It opened in 1912 as the Victoria Theater, later ran as the German Theater and, under several names, as a cinema, before a restoration in the 1980s turned it back into a room for live concerts. Jam Productions, its concert promoter since 1987, bought The Vic in 2000 and books it across genres from rock and hip hop to comedy; the main floor runs general admission or reserved seating, with theatre-style seats in the loge and balcony.
