State Farm Arena

State Farm Arena is the indoor arena at 1 State Farm Drive in downtown Atlanta's Centennial Park District, and the home venue of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks. It opened on 18 September 1999 as Philips Arena, replacing the Omni Coliseum, was renovated in 2017-2018 by removing the upper levels of its original one-sided suite wall, and took the State Farm Arena name on 29 August 2018. The arena gives its own concert capacity as 15,590-plus, and its architect was HOK. On the side facing downtown, the angled steel columns that hold up the roof spell out the word ATLANTA, and the SEC District rail station beneath the arena connects it to MARTA.
