The room
A historic theatre on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, originally a Beaux-Arts complex designed by Kees & Colburn for Greek-immigrant impresario Alexander Pantages. Later reduced to two storeys with an Art Moderne facade, it was Minnesota's first air-conditioned theatre and pioneered the mezzanine. Closed in 1984, it was restored and reopened by the city in 2002.
