A historic theatre on Hennepin Avenue in Minneapolis, originally a Beaux-Arts complex designed by Kees & Colburn for Greek-immigrant impresario Alexander Pantages. Later reduced to two storeys with an Art Moderne facade, it was Minnesota's first air-conditioned theatre and pioneered the mezzanine. Closed in 1984, it was restored and reopened by the city in 2002. Russ Taff is an American gospel and contemporary Christian singer, born in 1953 in Farmersville, California, who fronted the Imperials from 1976 to 1981 before a solo career built on the anthem 'We Will Stand' and a total of seven Grammy Awards.
