The Wiltern Theatre occupies the base of the Pellissier Building, a 12-storey Art Deco landmark set diagonally to the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue in Los Angeles and clad in blue-green glazed terracotta. The complex is considered one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the United States. The building is privately owned; the theatre is operated by Live Nation. W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1982 by frontman Blackie Lawless, its only constant member.
