A 1925 movie palace on Woodward Avenue (the longtime State Theatre), reborn as the Fillmore Detroit — a grand lobby, three tiers, and the annual Detroit Music Awards under its roof. Theory of a Deadman are a Canadian rock band formed in North Delta, British Columbia, in 1999 by singer-guitarist Tyler Connolly and bassist Dean Back.
