A Grade II-listed live venue at 568–578 Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, Dorset, opened in 1895 as the Grand Pavilion Theatre. Renamed the Boscombe Grand, then the Boscombe Hippodrome for over 50 years, and later The Royal Ballrooms, it hosted Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and more through the 1960s and early 70s, and remains a live entertainment room. The Wonder Stuff are a British alternative rock band originally based in Stourbridge in the West Midlands, and largely the vehicle for Miles Hunt's songwriting — he is the anchor member of every line-up.
