A restored 1930s art-deco council hall in Islington, reopened in 2010 as one of London's best-sounding mid-size stages. The Veils are the London/Auckland band of Finn Andrews, whose fevered art-rock has drawn admirers from David Lynch — who cast them in Twin Peaks — to Tim Burton.
