A 1913 working men's club in Hyde Park, Leeds, reborn as one of Britain's best-loved independent venues. Still a social enterprise with its community-club soul intact, its two 400-cap rooms host everyone from cult heroes to arena acts playing secret shows. The Veils are the London/Auckland band of Finn Andrews, whose fevered art-rock has drawn admirers from David Lynch — who cast them in Twin Peaks — to Tim Burton.
