An amphitheatre, performing arts center and museum on the very site of the 1969 Woodstock festival in Bethel, New York, about 90 miles from New York City. The 800-acre grounds hold a 15,000-seat outdoor venue, a 1,000-seat terrace stage, an intimate 440-seat indoor hall and the Museum at Bethel Woods. Concerts across many genres run June through September. The Rascals, first known as the Young Rascals, formed in Garfield, New Jersey in 1965 around the lead vocalist and keyboardist Felix Cavaliere, the vocalist and percussionist Eddie Brigati, the drummer Dino Danelli and the guitarist Gene Cornish.
