A 73,000-square-foot performing arts venue in Clearwater, Florida, in the Tampa Bay area, part of the Richard B. Baumgardner Center for the Performing Arts. Named after Ruth Eckerd, wife of businessman Jack Eckerd, its 2,180-seat auditorium uses continental seating with no center aisle. A regular home for the Florida Orchestra, it also draws touring concerts. The Mavericks are an American band formed in Miami, Florida, in 1989 and long led by singer and guitarist Raul Malo, whose rich, vibrato-laden voice defined their sound until his death in 2025.
