Altar Bar is a live-music venue on Murray Street in central Hobart, Tasmania. It hosts touring and local rock, punk and metal acts, from Tasmanian death-metal band Psycroptic to visiting Australian rock groups. The Drones are an Australian rock band formed in Perth in 1997 by singer-guitarist Gareth Liddiard.
