The Met Philadelphia is a historic opera house at 858 North Broad Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, originally opened in 1908. After a full restoration it reopened in December 2018 as a Live Nation concert venue and now hosts major touring music acts, with 'Presented by Highmark' as its corporate naming sponsor. The Chicks — Natalie Maines and the sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer — began in Dallas in 1989 as the Dixie Chicks, busking and working the bluegrass festival circuits and small venues for six years with a different line-up.
